Inspired by stick lip balms success Clinique brand has decided to continue the trend. In September it launches shadows sticks. WWD.com says that the launch time will be the same all over the world except Asia, they’ll have it in October.
It’s also said that the texture will have light shimmer and the price in USA will be around 16$. The audience is supposed to be young – starting from 19.
Speaking about lipsticks there’ll be 8 new colors in June.
Paying tribute to great advertising images I can tell you I’m no fan of these sticks. In my opinion, they lack the softness and they look in stick much better then on lips. And applied on lips they highlight the things that are not supposed to be highlited. Well, I’ve always been good about soft sticks, even the ones that are supposed to be used for drawing on paper. And how do you feel about them, dears?
So I continue telling you about MAC.
There are four eye kohls in Reel Sexy (May 2012 ) collection. I can show you two of them:
They are lavender-grey Heirloom and dark blue Hyacinth.
At Miss Piggy collection (on sale in April on site www.mac-cosmetics.ru only ) there is felt-tip pen Penultimate Eye Liner, color – Rapid Black:
I’ve already overcome a period of usung felt-tip pens as eye liners and have moved to the “brush and gel eyeliner in a jar” variant which seems to be smpler and more diverse at once. This felt-tip pen seemes to be uncomfortable because of the tip shape:
At some areas of eyes it’s not an easy thing to use. But the main disadvantage is a tone. True black is promised but practically it becomes brighter when it dries and looks a little bit washed out. And if you apply one more layer, as I do, it can smear a previous one and finally it looks unequally drawn.
On the other hand, some like this very lighter variant because it looks more natural than bright black line. By the way, a really bright black line can be drawn by gel liner in a jar neither. It’s a better task for liquid eyeliners.
And now let’s move to the heroes that have conquered my heart – two lipglosses.
At first, meet Сremesheen Glass lipgloss in Star Quality color (bright orange coral). And it’s Reel Sexy (May) collection again:
Really pleasant color without any sparkles and other things, that translucently wraps lips.

Second lipgloss is different from 90% of color cosmetics that I show you. I really wear it! It’s Kissable Lipcolour from Shop MAC (March-April) collection, color Enchantee.
I’m sure that somewhere I have other Kissable Lipcolours, but they haven’t left any emotions in me. But this one is completely different: I really understand all the advantages of this thing that on the one hand is a lipgloss and on the other hand looks like creme lipstick.
Except for an appropriate color, texture and comfortable wearing (no complaints during the day) I was attracted by complete “laziness” of a product. No need of kohl or foundation, no runnind around mirror. Just spread and go. And it doesn’t look completely like lipgloss.
All in all, I add it to The Very Good Spring Products list that already includes Givenchy spring collection blush, their shades, MAC shades from the previous post (that I surprisingly wear too) and Сlinique BB-creme. It’s really amazing that I use so many new products last moths and they’re not just lying in boxes!
I think that everyone remembers these eyes and lips kohl launch announcement. The pendants that are attached to them are so nice:

Dealing with kohl is quite unclear for me. I have a couple of dozens of them but I only use black kaya from time to time 
. I surely use a kohl with lipstick, but it’s a need, not an act of a creative imagination. So I admire people that use kohl in their makeup and make something beautiful with it .
It was a slight retreat so let’s go back to Dolce&Gabbana spring kohl:
There are 8 tones at all: 4 -for eyes and another 4 – for lips.
Some of them have sparcles as it can easily be seen.
There are Stromboli (1), Coffee (2), Black (5), Platinum (6) tones for eyes:
For lips we have Nude (1), Dahlia (4), Fire (5), Soft (6):
I’ve tried both lip and eye kohl. They are quite worthy (I don’t know what can be valued in them? They are applied softly and they last long).
By the way, these nice pendants are quite uncomfortable. Every kohl move makes them scatter in different directions. For example if you draw lip countour with one hand and hold an already opened lipstick in another you can easily get it with a flying pendant (that’s exactly what I’ve done)). Moreover, this motion distracts. One more important note – these pendants are placed to where shading sponges usually are. I have a girls soul, but I would have chosen a sponge ).
From all the variety of collections that MAC launches in April I have recieced a number of products from each one. And I’ve even managed to make photos of them (so this week I’ll spam you with MAC!).
Despite all the bright colors most of all I liked transparent lip balm with golden glitter from Cook collection. This one:
Lip balm is called Tendertone, color – Tread Gently. There are also orange Purring, cherry Hot ‘ n’ Saucy, golden-beige Hush, Hush at the collection. I would have had them all with a great pleasure .
The description says it’s lime and yellow. I can’t see any green modulations, only golden ones:
Everything changes and sometimes I have to make an effort and tell you about new impressions and news about the things already mentioned in the blog.
At first it’s eyelash curler by Dior. It’s almost three months since we’re togethen and I still think it’s the best beauty-discovery of the year.
My eyelashes haven’t fallen off because of it, they din’t split (or whatever could have happened to them because of heat influence:)) Anyway, they’re healthy as always. I can’t imagine my life without this device, take it to all the trips and hope it’ll never break .
The first battery that was included was discharged at the end of the February. I guess the fact that I was keeping it on the windowcill had influenced it somehow because the temperature was low and batteries don’t usually like it. I didn’t get what was going on right away (I’m always a little slow in the morning) and was surprised that the device had become less hot and no longer curved the eyelashes. I realized the situation only when the battery was completely low. It’s working well with a new battery for almost two months.
The second update is about BB creme by Сlinique. It’s not an update actually, it’s a need to apologize for lack of attention. After blogging about it, Garnier and Estee Lauder I’ve come to conclusion that Clinique is the best of three.
And I’ve noticed a mention Formulated for Asian skins. And everything have become clear to me, talking about deadly face color. Obviously there are grey whitening pigments that are loved by Asian women for covering their skin yellowness. So what I had was not a sample of creme that is going to be launched in Russia in June but the Asian version.
The reasonable question had appeared wether our June version is different from Asian one. And I already have our sample. I’ve managed to try it just once and it doesn’t seem to whiten anymore. Moreover it seemed to be a little bit dark (I have tone 2) compared to the Asian one. Well, one time is not enough for conclusions so i promise you investigating journalism .

Three new colors of Vivienne Sabo Charme de Vous moisturizing lipstick:
The company somehow calls them red… I don’t agree with that.
They are promised to be on sale since 20th of March so you may have seen them.
They look like that:
Left to right: 119 tone (for brunettes, that’s why the package is black), 121 tone (for all types of appearance, white package), 120 tone (for blonds, bright package)
Practically we have:
119 – obviously pink, 121 – orange, 120 – red.
So we need lips photos because it seems allright on hand. But:
119 tone
Not bad actually. It’s a little bit muted at the picture, it’s brighter in reality.
Lipstics is very comfortable, it doesn’t dry lips and texture is so to say perfect.
120 tone
This tone is applied unevenly, as if it wants to escape to the edges. Haven’t impressed me much.
And the drawing card – 121 tone
Sorry, but I haven’t seen such a tastelessness for a long time! I even guess I’ve never seen it in blogs.
Somehow only very stereotypical women images appear in my mind while thinking about ones who can like it. Such a dense cover and fine texture, and such a killer tone. Moreover it glitters with gold over the color, it’s death directly.
I haven’t decided yet where to wear 119 lipstick, the only one that suits me. It’s too bright for work, and to tell the truth wearing a lipstick is a rare success that happens for example when my husband leaves for work earlier ( and I can put makeup on without his claims) or when I make an effort and makeup in a bathroom at work (that hardly ever happens). That’s why I’ve searched information about lipsticks quality in the Internet. I’ve found a lot of complaints about bad coverage, easy fading and sometimes it stays on lips permanently (depending on tone). I’m not sure about these tones and if I have a chance to test 119th, I’ll make an update.
So the price of Vivienne Sabo lipsticks is 150-170 rubles.
I don’t know what obsessed me. To be honest I hardly ever find time to test MAC collections. But that time I was taking one product after another from the package and was so happy (and a meanie inside of me was saying “I wont give it to anyone! It’s mine, all mine!” )). And so I’ve found time.
Dynamic Duo Feather Pink/Spellcaster shades are from Reel Sexy collection. It goes on sale in May.
Shades have typically MAC texture – I don’t know how to explain it, but they are taken easily and so… powdery-loose:
Pink and purple – I like these colors but I’ve never tried wearing them myself, I’ve always tended to another range of colors.
Cremeblend Blush, color Florida are from Shop MAC collection, it’s on sale since March till the end of April.

And the highliter. Officially it’s called Extra Dimension Skinfinish powder Superb color. It’s from In Extra Dimension collection (it’s on sale since April)
Its texture is described as innovative powdery-gel. Sounds like gel powder by Estee Lauder:
I am suspicious about products of this kind. They’re often too dark for us, pale-skinned residents of Russian megapolices, of have a warm midtone that kills everything on our bluish skin. I wasn’t expecting any good from this product too but it turned out to be translucent:
I would say it’s completely invisible. Where are you, light shimmer? )
It’s supposed to be applied with brush, but it’s allright with fingers only.
And here are shades, blush and highlighter together (and pen eyeliner from some April collection too):
There is Tendertone lip balm I already mentioned on my lips.
It seems like I shaded the highlighter to complete disappearence everywhrere except nose.
All in all, I like the shades, I really like the blush. Speaking about highlighter, I already have one irreplaceable thing of this kind by Urban Decay, so we’ll see.
Yesterday I saw a joke on FB: “Everyone who survives three months of winter-2012 gets the fourth for free”. One more proof for the fact that nothing is more fun than jokes about sad things.
And now I’m sitting meditating on Clarins Enchanted Summer collection, luring the summer. Propose you to join.
India is a source of inspiration for the collection (not Russia indeed:) But it is a really westernized India, without elephants and other frills. The image at the latest trends in Clarins, simple, clear, without excessive creative but with explicit emphasis. It will seem boring again for somebody. But I like it again.
The emphasis is shading of purple shades around the eyes. The model has green eyes – and suddenly it’s very pretty. (There is a lot of purple shades in all the collections, I’ll make a post of comparison if I remember to.) Here is one more picture, it’ s more clear:

I’ve told you more than once about my passion for creamy and liquid textures (and haven’t shown you anything particular yet, I confess. It’s always the same –I’m never up to describe the things that I use every day).
That’s why just seeing this crème blush on new products presentation 2012 as a part of brand’s spring collection I’ve known that I need it. ) And thanks to Clarins I’ve got two – 01 Vitamin Pink and 02 Coral Tonic.
It is a thick liquid, speaking of its texture. Pretty weird applicator is big and wide, like it’s somespatulaand I haven’t have used to it still. I use it as a scoop because anyway I have to do the rest with fingers.
Colors are somewhat candy and correspond to the mood:
Especially the pink one is a kind of Barbie-color. ) Though I’m wearing it because I can’t imagine myself with coral which must be good for those who likesunbathingand have a different skin tone.)

These shades were first to attract my attention from the whole Givenchy spring collection. I have Dolce&Gabbana palette with the similar green color, but even lighter. So I was curious whatwill these colors turn out to be. I’ve been worried that they would be too bright and rich and I won’t be able to wear them, but it turnedother way around.
