La Reina: Cuticle Remover and Quick Dry

April 12, 2012 |  by  |  Nails  |   |  No Comments

La Reina is a relatively new manicure brand in Russia (appeared last yesr), that somehow rarely appears in press. Well, it appeared from time to time but was left unnoticed. But I saw it a couple of times at services like Glambox.

I got the impression that the company and brand itself are Russian (website says that their products are produced in USA). By the way, you can buy them at this very site. There are both care and colored laquers. In my opinion, the palette is rather dull, it’s hard to conquer the beautyholics heart with the one like this.

But our wirk is to try – so I tried. And these two products have left a very good impression:

I was somewhat hasty in this post with my promise to show all the nail covers in the next few days. But you must know that I was tormented by conscience, and finally tortured by it. So – voila – there are all five colors for you: Untitled Black, Ultra Violet, Electric Blue, Pink Graffiti и Metallic Silver.

In my opinion, the collection is really highly successful. I like cream coatings like these, without any shimmer, I like these bright colors, they are all of the same mood and even can be combined. That’s what I do – wear Untitled Black with Ultra Violet on two fingers of the right hand.

Well, it’s also creditably that I’m wearing them. That’s the difference between them and 99% of other new nail covers. I usually apply them, swatch and forget. But Dior nail laquers have somehow got into my mood, especially Untitled Black.

Let’s start with it.

L’Occitane: handmade hand cream :)

Last part. First part, second part, third part.

So, here we are, my friends – I’m finishing up my Provence story :)

It might sound surprising but with more than 1800 stores worldwide L’Occitane still supplies all of them with the help of only one factory. A factory located… yes, that’s right…in Provence. The factory grew bigger and bigger according to the company’s needs and is still growing today.

It’s not allowed to take pictures of the inside so here’s the whole factory building.

There wasn’t enough space for all the countries so we were welcomed with two stands :)

For that reason, here you won’t see any huge containers (there’s 5 of them there, the biggest one weighing about a ton), conveyor belts or warehouses with boxes of cosmetics. Instead, you will see a recorded process of making hand cream with our own hands under the supervision of the company’s R&D directors. It was allowed to take pictures inside the laboratory so we took the opportunity. By the way, the ladies who work there create an impression as if they were in an ordinary office with an ordinary coffee-and-gossip working atmosphere, only with strange devices around and white aprons on :)

I, of course, threw myself at all the jars with my camera – in the picture above someone obviously had been working on the make-up line.
